I love visiting small ice cream shops like this. Grew up in Shamokin and can remember the many small dairies/ice cream shops. Not many left now

I consider myself an ice cream aficionado having had ice cream in nearly every state and many countries around the world. With only two exceptions (Mexican Vanilla in Texas and coconut in Greece), this was by far the best ice cream I've ever had. Their coconut was even just as good as what I experienced in Greece. I highly recommend this place, everyone should stop what they're doing and take a road trip to Shamokin if only to taste Maurer's teaberry!!! Side note: licorice ice cream too, not my cup of tea, but where else will you find it?

They have a sour ice cream that you really need to try

They really have outstanding and low priced daily specials on their menu. Recommended for anyone who wants to stop for a quick breakfast or lunch. Or just get takeout!

This was a haven for a bunch of knee and elbow daggers running the twisties of route 125. We landed here to ease our aching muscles and reset. The ice cream was worth double scoops and the milkshakes, oh so good. This will be one of the regulars going forward.

When you come to Shamokin try Maurer's. Great ice cream and fresh cooked meals, both served in large portions and the people who work there are really nice. It's a good place to eat, enjoy ice cream and pie and relax.

Ribs and chicken were A+. Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious

Support your local restaurant, Ken along with many community donations are feeding anyone & their children with take out breakfast in a difficult time. Good food for paid takeout still available.

Had California cheese burgers. Taste was very good, not frozen patties. Ice cream is worth the stop alone. Because we're in Pa., we eat ice cream every month. Enjoy.

Excellent service, staff is very courteous and attentive! Bbq burgers and curly fries were made perfect and very tasty! Parking lot and handicapped accessible! Great place to eat and for fabulous tasting ice cream!

A family favorite for years, we stopped in to grab some treats to take home after visiting recently. The lady at the counter was helpful and we were out and on the road quickly.

The salad was brown and did not eat it waste of money

Hands down the best homemade ice cream I've ever had! All the flavors are good, but the bittersweet is their best signature flavor. Don't wait until the end of the week, though, as they tend to run out of flavors before the next batch is ready!

Maurer's Dairy has the BEST TEABERRY SHAKES!! Hands down they really do, I've had a lot of shakes from a lot of places and theirs is the best. Not to mention they also sell food. If your looking for a good breakfast they have it, if your looking for breakfast all day they have that as well. If your looking for hamburgers and hotdogs they have that, French fries yes. They also have everyday specials. It's a good place all year round.

Stopped just before closing time but the workers were very courteous. If you love to eat ice cream, the coal region is a great choice!! Good prices for good sized servings of ice cream. May have to try their food later in the week during our visit here.
